Virtualising Windows 8 on a Windows 7 64 bit Desktop PC
« on: November 26, 2012, 07:17:55 PM »
I dont want to upgrade my Windows 7 PC to Windows 8 at present, but like the idea of using it through virtualisation with Virtual Box, as I think there is quite a bit to learn (and dont want to get lost)

Does this sound like a practical idea, how do I go about it and which version of Windows 8 do I purchase ?

One version of Windows 8 is able to run all Windows 7 applications without being tied into the Microsoft App store, and at the click of a button, you can convert to Windows 8 mode with touch screen support, not sure which one, but you get the best of both worlds, so it might be worth checking out.
