Apple Care - Worth it or Waste of Money

As you Mac lovers know, Macs come with a standard 1 yr warranty and 90 days of telephone technical support.

How many of you bother with paying ALOT of extra money for Apple Care.

Sure it extends your warranty for 2 additional years, but do you really expect a fault in that period. After all you have just paid for a bespoke product (a fault is far from your mind). Any fault that is likely to occur, statistically will be during the 1st yr & will more than likely be hard drive failure, if any and the warranty will not cover the loss of your valuable data (which hopefully you will have backed up anyway)

For those of you that have, has it been worth it, or the next time you go and purchase a Mac you would'nt bother (despite how hard the salesman/woman tries to convince you otherwise) and the one-one training which has to be bought at the same time.

Ouch the Bank balance

Keep it real.....

Got it free, as I ordered my via Educational Option! But, I could only do that as I work in Higher Education. And I've not had to use it, so can't comment.
